The Cape Independent Newspaper in 2025
As 2025 draws to a close, we mark the completion of our third year in operation. Despite being offline for two-months (April and May), the paper published over 320 news and opinion articles.
A notable highlight from the year was an event that we hosting at Clovelly Golf Course in the Fish Hoek valley related to the City’s spatial development plan. The event was lively, with over 100 guests attending to hear leaders from the FF Plus, Referendum Party, and CIP discuss how residents can push back against local government overreach.
During the course of 2025 the newspaper covered a wide range of topics from rising gang violence to the illicit trade of Cape flora and how the WCED is breaking schools in the Cape. A standout piece was Robert’s analysis of the Elite’s 12-Year Plan to Merge the DA and ANC in which he argued that trans-Atlantic elites have pursued a consistent vision for over a century including the current merger of the ANC and DA.
Looking ahead to 2026, we plan to publish a monthly magazine featuring exclusive content and to establish district chapters for the paper (contact us if you are interested), aiming to build a better future through strong independent institutions and decentralized decision-making.
Independent news and opinion articles with a focus on the Western Cape, written for a more conservative audience – the silent majority with good old common sense.
